The Fullers Brewery Tour

The brew tour, at last! This is when mah human went to Fuller's Brewery. I didn't go along, because I didn't want to come out smelling like hops and beer.... but here are some pictures! She went as part of her Business in Society class and learned all about supply and demand and how increased prices of cereal grains will increase the price of beer!

first, the general process....

Erika, Jenica, and Caitlin in their safety vests! Arn't they cute?

The group with the tour guide, in yellow. She is an official beer taster!

Mah human with part of the brewery in the back ground....

All of the different types of Fuller's Ales at the tasting bar...

And the whole group behind the bar!

As always, more later!

Hurrah! Pictures!

First order of business:
Go check out my other friend's blog! His name is Captain Ruter (you've seen him on here before) and his blog is quite informative!
http://captainruter.blogspot.com

Second: RJ's birthday!! His birthday was actually September 15th, but my human forgot these were on her camera.

As you can see.... the girls of mah human's flat decided that a boob cake was in order. Seeing as how the British seem to be enamored with well endowed chests, they thought it could fall under "cultural learning" to get him such a cake... (his girlfriend made him a proper cake as well, no worries)

Here, our friend Ben (from U Mass) is lighting the candles (strategically placed) while RJ watches and Brent (from New York) watches approvingly.
All in all, I believe a good birthday was had by all... Especially by those daring enough to try the cake!!
More soon

phew! back from Scotland!

Well mah human and I arrived back to the flat last night at 11pm from the four day Scotland trip. Needless to say, she is a little behind and tired. She is not even caught up on her homework! While she tried her best, the train on the way back was over-booked and SUPER LOUD, thus she couldn't finish it all. I even had a hard time napping in my cozy spot in her backpack. Stupid crying babies and screaming pre-teens....
Anyways. She has TONS of pictures that she can't wait to share with you all! Not only does she have all of Scotland, but she has the week beforehand including a brewery tour at Fullers Brewery!
So, with any luck they will be up by the early evening for those of you on the continent of the Americas, but if they are not up today, just be patient. There will be a flood of pictures soon!

so... Scotland was amazing! So very pretty! Our tour guide, Martin, was quite a riot. H showed us the "wild and sexy" Scotland and after we counted 15 white horses we got the "deep Scottish love!" ....
Long story short, if anyone has the chance, Scotland is a place to see! (though honestly, the history of the fact that the Scottish landmass was once connected with that of Canadian North America makes sense to me, because some of the scenery or weather or just general feel is somewhat similar.

OKAY! my human must concentrate in class. Wait around for pictures, they are coming soon!
DSL (deep Scottish love),

Why is my human dressed so oddly? Some of the flat mates decided to dress up to have a mild party in the flat.... and they all look silly if you ask me.

The entire SU London group... IN THE WATER... at Brighton beach. Mah human is the head poking above the group on the left side.

mah human and her flat mates, still in the water.... those nincompoops.
(did you know that 'nincompoops' is a real word?!?! spell check says that it is correct!!)

Thats it for now. Hopefully I will catch up with the Brewery tour!!! and other things before we leave for Scotland.

Frequently Asked Questions!

Okay... well maybe just questions that were asked once...

What's Kew?
Kew Gardens is a royal gardens place outside of London. They have several gardens as well as LOTS of space. It is a huge area. Other than that.... I don't know much about it.

Where did you get your shoes?
Well mah human got them at a sore called Next. It's a clothing store that has stuff for everyone, and she found them in the children's section. They are meant for 0-3 month old's....

What is mah human currently sick with?
Well, she has bronchitis. She'd been hacking and coughing for almost three weeks before she finally went to the doctor! Silly girl...

Favorite food in London?
Fish and chips, of course!

Favorite sight-seeing excursion so far?
Stonehenge!

What address do I send mail to?!
Well you should send it to mah human... but here is her address:
Susan Butler
C/o CAPA
144 Cromwell Rd
London SW7 4EF
United Kingdom

That's all for now! Keep sending questions!

Once I get through these from Kew, the updates will slow down as they
get caught up.

Kew Three! (don't worry, there will be more)

Yep, more.
The ones taken from high up or from a great height was from the tree top
walkway! 180 steps high, there was a big walkway in the tree tops!

Kew part Two!

yep, more jaunty bow pictures.
I think green is a good color for me!

The Globe and my trip on the Underground!

These are from when mah human brought me to see A Midsummer Nights Dream
at the Globe Theater.... Then we enjoyed a trip on the underground.
One picture is her attempt to take a 'night skyline' shot with the
Millennium bridge and St. Pauls.... obviously, it did not work quite to
plan.

Today she is off to a brewery tour for her business class.... but I
think i'll stay back and nap. I don't want to smell like hops!
